TRADER$,  simulates the excitement of trading on the stock market via an experience where everyone starts with the same amount of money. But where everyone finishes well, you have to play the game to get that answer.

Over the past 14 YEARS, we have studied the investment skills of the most successful investors in the world.

You know what they all had in common? From Peter Lynch and George Soros to Warren Buffet. 

- EACH OF THEM HAS SYSTEM for evaluating and then deciding to get in or out of an investment.


TRADER$ is designed to teach players what it means to make quick yet informed decisions about buying, holding or selling a stock.  The experience was developed after analyzing thousands of real time trades in the stock market.   


If you've struggled with learning to invest, then TRADER$  will help you develop skills for making financial decisions through trading stocks.

TRADER$: The Stock Market Experience

Objectives

To increase the value of your stock portfolio by Trading to more than any other player by the end of the game.

Rules

1. Players start the game with Ten Thousand Dollars and must initially invest in one or more stocks at the opening bell.

2.  Players may sell one or several stocks at any time and buy other stocks.

However, you must pay a broker commission of Twenty Dollars per buy or sell order.

On one level, TRADER$ is pure fun.

On a another level, it's a rich educational experience that stimulates learning about economics, finance, and the American economic system.

 

Players in TRADER$ discover the risks and rewards involved in decision-making, the sources and uses of capital, and other related economic concepts. 

TRADER$ benefits include: 

 Lessons for School, Work, and Life.
By working in self-directed teams, players learn collaboration, cooperation, and compromise. They make decisions and learn how to live with them. They use judgment to weigh the importance of information they uncover. Facilitators act as coaches, learning with their teams, rather than as conveyors of information. 

Learning about Economics and Investments.
Players find that economic concepts such as supply and demand, inflation and recession, and competition come alive for them as they manage their hypothetical investments. They gain understanding of the benefits and tradeoffs of different financial instruments and strategies. They start to see the impact of world events on their investments.
